The NUG’s Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee and Public Administration Groups in the special administrative region held a meeting (38/2022) on December 11. Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, delivered the meeting’s opening remarks. Following that, departments clarified activities by each sector within the special administrative region, such as finance, electricity, communication, tax collection, defense, health, education, and judiciary, as well as natural resources and environmental conservation. Also, Public Administration Bodies of the special administrative region discussed the difficulties they face on the ground and what they want to know.

Then, Union Minister of Health and Education Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, a member of the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee, gave concluding remarks at the meeting. The meeting was attended by Union Ministers who are members of the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee, Deputy Union Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Joint Permanent Secretaries, Department officials, leaders of Public Administration Groups in the special administrative region, and members.

The two military council employees who were caught in the massage room in Kalay city, Sagaing region, will be prosecuted by the instructions of the NUG Interior Police Chief’s Office. The Kalay township People’s Police (KPS) released the news on December 11. According to the report, military council corporal Min Zaw Oo, manager of Myanma Economic Bank Tun Tun Naing, and junior clerk Nyein Khant Zaw, who were enjoying themselves with looted money from the public, were arrested at the massage room in Taungzalat, Kalay city.

The arrested persons are currently being prepared to file a case under the Anti-Terrorism Law 52 (A) by the instructions of the People’s Police Chief’s Office under the NUG Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, and it has been announced that the arrested persons are being maintained according to international human rights standards.
